Rumors are true...

I have not posted in a while, but I thought it was time to take a break from the blogging thing and really figure out what my purpose is in this world. Yes, the rumors are true... I have aged 40 years and have taken up mountainboarding again. space and time have collided.

Woodward, PA

So I just returned from a week at Woodward in Pennsylvania. And let me tell you damn is that place huge! The camp hosts over 700 campers per week! The campus is basically a self contained playground for anybody. Woodward originally started with gymnastics and cheerleading has now expanded into sports like BMX, skateboarding, and now snowboarding. Thats where I come into play. When I got the call asking if I would like to be a guest for the week to hang and practice with the snowboard program I instantly agreed.  Here are just a few photos from my week of action in PA.

Day 1 we are rolling around camp (Oh did I forget to mention they even have golf carts to get around) getting the tour and this beast of a slip'n'slide catches my eye. Instantly my new friend Brandon and I jump from the moving cart and dive in for a nice little hour long session. I even rode a shark off the jump you can see on the left hand side of the photo. It was awesome.

The snake run. This is a blast! This is one of over 10 skate parks on the camp grounds. You can mob through this course.

Every morning we would start the day with some trampoline time. Throughout the week there would be a few contests for the campers to win some prizes. This is a picture from the high jump contest. Also one of the funniest things to see when a camper would pile drive the pads they were suppose to jump over.

Chris Cole and the rest of the Zero skate team were also at camp for the week. Cole brought a group of underprivileged inner city kids to camp.  Its nice to see people in the action sports community giving back. Later in the week the guys put on a little demo for everyone. You may have seen the webcast. It was insane.

Here I am having a little fun on the snoasis box. They have this snow gel that helps your glide on this carpet like surface so you can hit the box. Kids were going off! Never thought I would be shredding in PA in August before.

All and all I had an awesome time. I have always wanted to go to Woodward and now that I have gone I  can't wait to go back!

Adios Amigos!

Irene is a Bitch

I've seen some pretty bad weather on the east coast but I think this weekend will probably have my experiences beat. I wish the best for everybody back east who has to deal with Irene

Hoop Dreams

He's been known by many names this man. Ken Spliffy Jr, Condospleeza Rice, Barack OChrona, Hoop, the list goes on, but nobody knows his real name. However, what we do know is that Zach Hooper is a boss when it comes to snapping insane photos and making us snowboarders actually look like we know what were doing. He directed me upon this link of photos featuring the FRENDS crew, Travis Rice, Sage Kotsenburg, some of The Station Boys, Eric Willett, Ellery Hollingsworth, Forest Bailey, KP, Peter Piiroinen, LV, and others like Shuan White who I don't feel like naming.

Stay Classy

After too many days of traveling, I was finally able to celebrate my arrival to Queenstown with a taste of the kiwi land. Ahhh, meat pie and a ginger beer. If only the women went down as easy as this classic New Zealand meal.
You could say my journey here was less than ideal. After making a great personal decision of getting 3 hours of sleep the night before I left the states, I already knew the odds were against me. Miraculously, I made it quite easily to Denver, then LA, then Auckland. Arriving at 5 AM I am informed that my flight to Queenstown is canceled and that my next chance is 4 days later. They say they will only put me up in a hotel room for one night. WTF? After checking in to my hotel, I discover that they did not take my name or credit card. In spite of Air New Zealand's stinginess, I take an oath to do whatever I can to shoot the bill through the roof. I start with 30 dollar premium internet. Man that shit was fast! I go down for breakfast and order a bloody mary. The waiter looks extremely puzzled and tells me the bar doesn't open until 11. I said "fine, how about some white wine, gimme that expensive shit". Apparently these people don't want to load up on social lubricants at 7 in the morning. Breakfast on the room was delicious, so was lunch, half the mini bar, and dinner. The next day I wake up and dont really know what to do since that was my only night paid for. So I pack up and leave. Good luck billing my luxuries to Mr. 508187. That was the name on the room. I talk with a nice lady at the check in desk who decides to do a good deed for a kid who probably only has bad karma in his pockets. Seat 6D on the first flight to Queenstown that day. That saved me 3 days of hotels and food that I would actually have to pay for. So when I said my journey here was less than ideal, I take that back, because judging on the circumstances I think I still came out on top. Time for a killer trip of shredding! more to come...

Zack and Hunter's 21st Birthday

We had ourselves a good time Sunday night for the birthday. Here is a few photos...

There was babes
As you can see the karaoke was flowing. Zack singing It's Raining Men.

Hunter was in his prime!

And the Bernie was thrown. This one is my present to you Ross!

Zack documented most of his blackout with the GoPro that way he could piece everything together after all the time traveling. All in all it was a doozy of a night! Thanks to everyone for coming out! Party on and Happy Bday to you too Ross!

Hags and I

Found some older footage on my hard drive of Hagerty and I shredding park lane. Just made a gangster ass edit of some gangster ass dudes... Enjoy

The Gonz

If you don't know who Mark Gonzales is, you better look him up... Or just watch this Adidas documentary/ad thing and learn some shit. The guy has been influencing skateboarding and the culture since the beginning, and is a hell of a weird character. He also does crazy artwork and tons of board graphics. #respect
